Performance
I address women and men with poetry. As much as I like interpreting it myself, I want to put it in readers’ mouths.
At poetry performances, I recite poetry to accompany a shamanic drum or collaborate with musicians.
I put my poetry in galleries next to paintings, where I add the dimension of Dance. During my exhibitions, I perform poetry and music performances.
Without Dance, which weaves each of the arts separately, it is impossible to understand my Creation. A picture without poetry is flat; poetry without a picture is poor. Both lack the secret of the Dance.
I am whole only through the love triangle of Poetry, Painting and Dance.
I am interested in non-classical literary situations. The magic becomes alive when I give my body and heart to the poetry.
The sound of a metabolized breath
In an 18-minute ambient-based performance, Nina interprets three songs in dialogue. She dances with paintings, which she included in the exhibition Meeting the Body as a touching memory in the print of color. The performance took place to the sounds of Jure Praper’s electric guitar.
The birth of a painting: The blossoming of a collective body
The first multimedia performance in collaboration with artists Marko Batista (sound) and Dominik Mahnič (video animation) occurred in Crikulacija 2 in Ljubljana.
In a 30-minute ambient performance, Nina painted with her body and brushes on PVC foil, transforming it into a painting installation. In the end, she recited a few verses, and Marko and Dominik took her away from the venue in a tub on wheels.
